My favorite place for drinks in Bacalar, once I found this place I went every night until we left town. Bartenders are extremely fun and will have you screaming "I SCREAM BAR!!!". I came for the 2 for 1 drinks, and stay for the fish tacos and great music. I quite enjoy going alone and sitting at the bar, tons of friendly people to talk to, the atmosphere is chill and crazy at the same time. Highly recommend this place. All the bad reviews are hilarious to read, these miserable people go to the center of a tourist town and expect rural Mexico prices show the locals some love, this bar deserves all the money they are making. Come to the 'I Scream Bar' if you are a tourist looking to have a fun night. We will be back I promise that
Absolutely love the bar. They have great music and lovely staff. The prices are also fair and if you go there in the happy hour (6 - 8 pm) you get really good prices for the cocktails! They also have food which I never tried but it looks good. The bar itself is styled in a cute car kind of look, super cool idea!
A crazy place with crazier bartenders! These guys are having the time of their lives while they're working. Expect fantastic cocktails, amazing nachos and good music. Oh, and some booze pouring in your mouth if you're lucky!
Great bar in Bacalar. Clean vibe, stunning place, the live guitar performances add a very cool atmosphere. The staff is great and the drinks are actually very nice too. Happy hour is 5pm to 8:30pm, drinks half price so great time to go! Also at random times the waiters get up on chairs and shout “I scream bar”, and they do it so unenthusiastically it’s actually really funny lmao
Great drinks, bar with potential. We were there during happy hours, so we enjoyed nice cocktails a lot for really good money. It seemed that happy staff are enjoying their work a lot!
First night in Bacalar went wandering around the town. While there were many cool looking options for food and drinks I Scream Bar was ott striking with car parts constructing many aspects of the entire space. We sat in old car seats with a table made from a no parking sign. The host was wicked cool with a cheery “come party with us we’re all friends here” vibe. I gave him a hug when we left. We arrived for happy hour so got two orders each of mezcalitas which were delicious and actually got me tipsy! (Finally! I’ve been having a hard time even getting a buzz from mixed drinks on this trip). We each ordered a quesadilla and a taco. They were affordably priced and incredibly delicious. Small but it was nice to not commit to a large meal. We ended up ordering more and trying some other things. All delicious. Around nine a large group of people arrived so seating arrangements were adjusted to compensate which didn’t bother us at all.
